This mode renames files in your Google Drive on the cloud. No need to wait for all the data to be synced to your computer. Just sign in to your Google account, authorize Easy File Renamer to access your data’s hash and the rest is pretty straightforward.

Select the Cloud Renamer tab to be able to launch the process for renaming your Google Drive files.
Click the Add Files button and then enter your login credentials in the 2 prompts that will follow.
Click Allow in the official Google API window to allow your data to be accessed by Easy File Renamer.
The next window will show up the file hierarchy of your Google Drive folders. Select the folder(s) which contain files you want to rename and click the Add Folder button to load the data in Easy File Renamer user interface.
Once the data has been loaded, you can happily select a renaming rule of your choice from the Select Rule dropdown menu on the left. There a total of 10 rules available, some of the more favorite ones being New Name, Remove Text, Replace Text, Trim Text, and so on. Select all the relevant options such as entering the text and you might be required to select a radio box in some cases as well.
Next, click Add Rule to give your confirmation of the rule(s) being applied with the current customization. The Item New Name tab in the interface will give you a sneak peek into how the files will look after being renamed. When you’re confident of all the settings being absolutely fine, click the Rename button in the lower-right corner of the screen and select Yes in the confirmation prompt.
