If you\u2019re looking to transfer photos from your Android phone to PC and re-organize them in an orderly manner, thankfully, the process has been fairly simple and straightforward. Read on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Transferring Photos from the Android Phone to Your PC<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Method 1: Using the Photos App<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Windows 11 and Windows 10 come with the Photos app pre-installed. The Photos app lets you view individual photos, slideshow of your photos, compare two similar photos, touch up your images, adjust brightness, polish your images with filters, rotate and edit them. Not just that, you can also import your existing photos from other devices (such as Android phones) to your PC.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Connect your Android phone to your PC.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Make sure to unlock the phone, otherwise your computer may not detect it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on Start, type Photos and open the Photos app from the Search Results.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on Import &gt; From a USB device.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Windows will prompt you to select the photos to import, and the destination folder.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you start the transfer, it may take some time depending on the number and size of your photos.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><b>Method 2: Using File Explorer<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">File Explorer (earlier known as Windows Explorer) is the tool we use to browse our drives, folders and create, copy, open and manage our files. It is easy to transfer photos using File Explorer to your PC.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Connect the Android phone to your PC and unlock it.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Open File Explorer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go to the folder that contains your photos.<\/span>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your photos are directly stored on your phone, they may appear under: \/storage\/emmc\/DCIM.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your photos are stored on a memory card, they may appear under: \/storage\/sdcard0\/DCIM.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the folder contains other files in addition to your photos, you may want to group your files by their types. To do so, just right-click on an empty area and select Group by &gt; Type.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Select the photos you want to transfer. The easiest way is to click on the group head icon. Alternatively, you can manually bulk select your photos by pressing and holding the Shift key or Alt key. (Use the Shift key to select photos in consecutive order, while you can use the Alt key to select them randomly).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Click on the Copy icon on the Ribbon interface, or right-click your selection and choose Copy.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Go to the folder where you want to store the transferred photos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Right-click on an empty area and select the Paste option.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Note<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: The actual location of your photos in step # 3 above may vary depending on which apps you use to capture your photos. The best way to determine the exact location is to check the website of the app you use.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Re-organizing Your Photos into Different Folders<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once you\u2019ve transferred all the photos, it\u2019s important to re-organize them into different folders based on their date taken. Re-organizing the photos will help you find them when you need them the most, and keep your photo library organized at all times. Thankfully, the task is not difficult. For example: Year\/Month\/Date.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choose if you want to copy the images or move them to the destination.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now specify the destination directory in the Destination textbox and then start the process.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Other features:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PictureEcho offers an incredible duplicate finder for your photos.
